Simultaneously sophisticated and raw, del Junco’s taken the 10-hole diatonic harmonica to another realm. He approaches the harmonica like a horn, setting him utterly apart from fellow mouth organists such as Neil Young or Bob Dylan….
Del Junco visits The Pearl every April and this time he brings Jimmy Bowskill. We get a dose of roots, country and pop infused blues from two masters of their craft who have recently released their new CD “BLUES ETC.” together. Bowskill, of course, began performing at a ridiculously young age. Creating a sound all his own, he first played on stage at the age of eleven (!) at Jeff Healey’s club in Toronto. The next year he recorded his first album, Old Soul.
